    ABSTRACT
Tacit requirements are essential in system development but hard to gather because they are “hidden” or “assumed requirements”. It is believed that if the explicit requirements are included and the tacit requirements are neglected, then the systems are not guaranteed to meet users’ satisfaction. This paper includes the process and results of conducting a real case study for eliciting tacit requirements by using the tacit requirements elicitation framework (TREF). The main objective of the case study is to present the effectiveness of the developed framework for eliciting tacit requirements of an e-learning system. Additionally, this paper includes an expert review of the framework and the case study results.
